Organizers of the upcoming Mundri Inter-Area Tournament have announced the registration schedule for participating areas as preparations for the competition gather momentum. According to the organizing committee, each area will be required to pay a registration fee of SSP 200,000 through their respective quarter councils to secure participation in the tournament. Registration will run from 30 June to 8 July 2026, daily from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the venue located next to Hope Medical Center. The committee has appointed Kiropa to oversee the registration process and urged all quarter councils to complete registration within the stipulated period to avoid missing the tournament. The Mundri Inter-Area Tournament is expected to bring together teams from different areas, promoting unity, sportsmanship, and youth engagement through football.

Ngulawa United FC goalkeeper Viper Kparama has completed a move to Juba Local Football Association First Division side Al Huriya FC. Kparama, a former Lighton FC, Suk Amal Area goalkeeper and Maanikakara Payam, was unveiled alongside defender Stephen Parakiti as Al Huriya strengthens its squad for the new season. Nesery FC winger Emmanuel Angelo was also unveiled by the club as another new signing ahead of the First Division campaign. The additions give Al Huriya more depth in goal, defense, and attack as they target a strong finish in the JFA First Division.

The win sees Hai Rwanda Area join Kasa Area among the teams progressing in the tournament. Hai Rwanda Area put on a strong performance, scoring twice and keeping a clean sheet against a determined Lui Retires side. The result proved enough to book their qualification and keep their hopes alive in the competition. Despite the defeat, Lui Retires fought hard throughout the match but were unable to find a breakthrough. Fans continued celebrating long after the match as Hai Rwanda Area marked an important milestone in their campaign. According to the association, clubs are now permitted to register new players, transfer players between teams, and complete all necessary transfer procedures during the designated transfer period. The transfer window will remain open until 30 July, after which no further player registrations or transfers will be accepted unless otherwise authorized by the association in accordance with its regulations. MSFA has urged all affiliated clubs to ensure that their transfer activities are conducted within the stipulated timeframe and in compliance with the association's rules and guidelines. MUNDRI – Richard Michael's journey from a young ball boy to one of Mundri's most respected young football referees is a powerful story of determination, resilience, and passion for the game. Richard joined the Referees Department of the Mundri Sub-Football Association in August 2024 at the age of just 13. While many expected him to pursue a career as a football player, he chose a different path by taking up refereeing. His decision was met with mixed reactions. Some questioned why he wanted to become a referee instead of a player, while others doubted that someone so young could handle the responsibilities of officiating football matches. However, Richard remained committed to his dream and continued to work hard. His dedication soon began to pay off. In 2025, he officiated the final of the Mvolo Peace Tournament and later participated in the South Sudan Cup playoffs held in Maridi. Although he was denied the opportunity to officiate at the Ibba Inter-County Tournament in January 2026 because of his age, he refused to let the setback discourage him. In February 2026, Richard successfully completed professional assistant referee training, passing both practical and written examinations. His outstanding performance caught the attention of CAF/FIFA Technical Instructor Sadiq Repent, who recognized his talent and presented him with an assistant referee flag. Richard's officiating career continued to grow as he handled matches in Juba and recently served as assistant referee during the match between Five Stars FC and All Lui Stars in Mundri East County. His remarkable achievements have now earned him widespread recognition. Fans, coaches, team captains, and fellow referees voted him the Best Youngest Referee of the Year. The award was presented by Mundri West County Commissioner Hon. Zilipha Dawa and Dr. Monday Joseph. Richard Michael's story serves as an inspiration to young people across Mundri and beyond. His success demonstrates that age is not a barrier to achievement when combined with dedication, discipline, confidence, and a willingness to pursue one's passion.
