Lionel Messi has made history, becoming the all-time leading goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history.

The Argentine captain scored twice in Argentina’s 2–0 victory over Austria on Monday, taking his World Cup tally to 18 goals and setting a new all-time record.

Messi surpasses the previous mark of 16 goals held by Miroslav Klose, further cementing his place among football’s greatest legends.
